Scene detection-type function

[Daygola814]

I'm new to Avid and I have the following question...

Is there a scene detection type fuction in Avid Media Composer like there is in Vegas and Premiere? If so, what does Avid call it and how do I activate it.

Thanks,
Paul DV

Look for DV Scene Extraction in the manual. That should get you on the right track.
