scary finding about my dvx

that actually looks rather cool as an effect! but that must be scary when u aint trying to do it...i have no idea. Sorry i cant be of any help. has it happened again?

It only did it for a tenth of a second I have had not further problems. I have my mack 5 year service from b and h do ya think they could fix that? Even if it hasn't happened since.

didn't your Mom tell you to never look at the sun when you were little:Drogar-KnockedOut(D haha

....well, I have no idea but I would guess it's because of the sun directly hitting the chip, causing some kinda effect to happen.
anyway, for sure you shouldn't point the camera lens directly to the sun, it's not good for the camera.
if you were shooting with film, you could have burn the film inside:Drogar-Smoke(DBG):

i was also thinking about the whole sun issue..but who knows. take it to a repair center and show them the clip and see what gives.

I think it was the sun too. We sued to be very careful about not pointing the DVX at the sun or even in the direction of the sun. But since you have Mack, use it.
