Scams

Come on, spill.
How many of us have been scammed..

I'm trying to find a job and I constantly get overwhelmed with these Emails about 'Survey's for Cash' and 'Send $49 off to earn thousands each month!'

I'd do one, If I knew they were legit.

Blah.

I have a sure way NEVER to get scammed again. Just send me $29.95, and I will give you the BEST technique in the world for avoiding scammers.

Don't listen to either of them, I was once the best scammer out there, But now I've turned to the good side, and I'm here to help you avoid scammers, just send me 2 payments of $25.99

Totally fake Kiki - dont listen to these Jokers. I dont want your money, but I will need some info to verify that I can properly transfer the money of my people to your account for safe keepings. Upon my return to the States of America you send me half of it back and the rest is yours as reward for your services to me.

So yeah just PM me your account info and any fancy numbers you may have to identify yourself. Actually just fedex your wallet to me and I'll just go from there.

I was scammed back in 1998 for a little camcorder. There was an ebay auction. I didn't win, but I got an e-mail that said the other guy backed out and that I could have it for $120. Sent it Western Union like he asked. Never saw that money or the camera ever again. That was a rude awakening. That was before all of that was well known (at least to me).

3) Finally, and most disturbingly, Jeff was not heard from again. I personally e-mailed him for permission to run his story on ZUG, but after an initial response, I never heard from him again. All of his Web sites have come down, and he is nowhere to be found.

This is actually pretty scary...

I almost got scammed when I first tried to sell an iPod on Craigslist. I was completely ignorant to scamming and I almost sent it to Nigeria. Thankfully my dad wasn't as moronic as me (I was maybe 12 when this happened).

I thought the same thing.

Quite freaky when you hear that line pop up from time to time..

'and Ki-Ki were never heard from again..'

I got scammed trying to buy an Xbox 360 in the Amazon Marketplace. The day I bought it, the guy had sterling feedback going back several years. Then, a day later about a hundred "DO NOT BUY...NEVER GOT MY XBOX! A SCAMMER!!!". Luckily Amazon had buyer protection so I got my money back. Then, several months later I got a call from a guy saying he's from the FBI investigating the case and wanting me to testify. The guy didn't sound very professional so a bunch of red flags went up in my head and I told the guy I didn't want to be involved, thinking I was being scammed again. After I hung up, I checked the number online, and IT WAS THE FBI in Los Angeles! Oops.

Was never scammed. Wanted to take up some simple harmless scam-baiting (just giving a run around to email scammers), but after not getting any snags on my first attempt I gave up.

I did get my bank account number/ and pin stolen though. The guy tried to take out 800$ from my bank account twice. The reason why he was caught by my banks security, aside from being a large amount, was because it was a student account with a limit of $500. :D What an idiot. They shut it down right away and I had to go through all the paper work and blah blah.
