scam?

buy at own risk... this topic has been deal with to death. DO a search for online merchant and u'll find some places that are legit.

Man, you managed to find the worst scams I have ever scene. On the first one not only are they showing the camera that you will never get at that price, but then the extra batteries they show aren't even the right battery, and what's with the 2 Gig secure digital card? Does the DVX have an SD slot now :).

the rainbowtronics one sounds really odd because it specifically states "this product does not qualify for any rebates"...which means it is most likely a grey market cam and you won't have an american warranty or get the DVXbook/Magic Bullet extras.

You will *never* find a legitimate DVX offered for less than about $3200 or so.

So if the price is advertised lower than that, just flee. Go to B&H or EVS or Abel Cine Tech or Specialized Communications or any of the other authorized dealers.

The "best price" would be one where a) the company actually delivers the product you ordered, b) isn't run by a lying pack of thieves who you willingly give your credit card info to, and c) is an authorized dealer so you don't lose out on the $350 rebate.

You're not gonna find a legitimate deal on a legitimate DVX under $3000, and I think most places are around $3300.

Not to mention warranty, Magic Bullet, and Instant HD.

And you gotta get Barry's book & DVD!
