This assignment for my Production 1 class consisted of making a 30 second public service announcement that expressed our feelings on an issue we care about. I get pretty sick of people when cell phones are involved. Be it texting or gabbing away with one of those annoying little bluetooth headsets on, they make me want to strangle someone. Originallly this was supposed to take place in a drive thru, where the rudest of all cell phone offenders commit their electronic hate crimes, but I couldn't get permission for the location I wanted. Thus, I set the scene in a somewhat more familiar place. It didn't occur to me until we were shooting that this approach had been tackled before...but I don't think they did it like this. This was shot on the DVX.
