I am the director/producer for an upcoming music video for Sawyer Brown, that will debut this Thursday June 16th on CMT. The only cameras used were a DVX-100 and an old 8mm. Mark Miller (lead singer for SB), was impressed by a previous music video we produced several months back for Lark Watts (it was posted on here). He wanted the same look and feel as this video, and after explaining what we shot it on, he had no problems with us shooting in this format.

It was an incredible opportunity for me and my team and for the DVX-100! I hope everyone gets a chance to check out the video and we encourage you to go to CMT.com and vote for on the video to help it rise to the top.

The video will play during the Top 20 Countdown. Check local listings for times.

I will post the video on my site after it is showcased on CMT.

"They Don't Understand" It is being played on several smaller test markets right now. Should be playing all over when the video comes out.

The album is not set for release until August (I think?)

Eppdidit, you are probably going to get flooded with questions on settings and all. I'll wait and read responses with enthusiasm. My congrats on a wonderful opportunity and job well done. I'll be sure and catch it on tv to see how it looks there.

Excellent... excellent...!!!

I know if I had the opportunity I would shoot this video for free. But it made me wonder, how much could one charge for doing such work? I know of another country music video right now being shot on 16mm that costs $25 grand.

Hey Eppdidit, my dad and I saw the video on CMT sunday, wow! We were blown away. We had no idea it was shot with dvx, we thought the concept and footage was excellent. Got a question for you though, did you use the stock lens or 35mm adapter? Did you use magic bullet? Once again great video!

thanks for the great comments.
To answer your question Big Stein, the only other lens used besides the stock lens was Century Optics .06x Wide Angle Lens. We also used a small 8mm camera. I did use MB filters.
