"save" isn't working?????

What's going on here? Since FCS2 install, the only way I can save my project is to, litterally, click on "file"> "save project".

Apple "S" isn't saving.

And on my shuttle pro, the button I have assigned to save is not working.

Strange.

Or am I just too hungover and missing something here?

I'd zap your Prefs.

It's the "keep editing mode". You can't take a break from your project untill you are done and exported.

Yeah... but I'm more worried about the "work for four hours continually pressing the save button, but it doesn't work. My system crashes and all work is lost" mode.:cheesy:

I'll trash prefs and see if it works.

Is that the same mode as the "auto quit" option instead of "auto save" ? Quits FCP without saving within the time specified to make sure you dont stray from the keyboad.

If you don't already have it (or if others don't) - get Final Cut Pro Rescue

Awesome free utility to trash and backup your prefs in FCP.

Used FCP Rescue, and then tried FCP attack to trash prefs... and still no "save".

This doesn't make sense, ALL my other keyboard shortcuts work.

I'm going to repair permissions on all my drives, and try again...

EDIT: Didn't work. Any ideas here??
