Save custom transitions/effects?

I was wondering how I could go about saving these effects/transitions that I use very often in my editing so that I don't have to keyframe all the time like i'm doing right now.

For example:

A gamma correction keyframed filter going: 1, .2, .4, .6, .8, 1 (frames separated by commas). This is a little blink effect I like to use once in a while... How could I go about saving this as something that I could just drop onto my footage so I don't have to go through and manually keyframe this filter everytime?

Thanks!

I sometimes create a sequence that I call scratch paper and I have in it many effects and transitions that i use often. I bring that sequence into every project I work on. And I can just copy and past the attributes into my current project.

If you don't like doing paste attributes, there is another way - apply your filter to the first clip, keyframe it. Drag that clip from the timeline to your browser, and name it whatever you want to call it (let's call it X_FX). Anytime you want to apply that keyframed filter, just load X_FX into your viewer, goto the filters tab, and drag the filter to the next clip that needs it.

Paste attributes is better for a number of reasons, but some people can never remember the shortcut, or if they have a large project can't find that clip so this is just another way to call up a previously made effect.
