Satellite Radio Anyone?

XM is the poo poo. (Ha, filter still cracks me up) Great reception, great programming. I too love that surprised feeling when a good song comes on so the XM has replaced my iPod in the car. I still keep the iPod in there for emergencies, but its getting a bit dusty.

EDIT: Favorite Station anyone? For me it's 47...Ethel. Just found it, one of the few that I can leave on for a while and love every song.

Long live radio, they said DVD would kill VHS, its still here (well albiet not as strong as before, but still).

TV was ment to kill radio, because TV was radio with pictures.

so no, I don't think radio will die yet, it will just evolve into something better.

I think April will be my 5 year anniversary with XM. It's a great product.

Avoid the FM modulater models....either direct wire to the stereo or nothing!

Radio is not dying because of xm; it's dying because of payola, the internet, and mp3s. I listen to broadcasts to hear cool new music, not advertising disguised as music.

I download podcasts and burn them for my car mp3-cd player (talk radio and npr).

Between my MP3 player and my xm radio I am spoiled. I hate listing to commercials… and even better… with xm you get a ton of really good stations. So much better than regular radio where you are lucky if even one station is playing anything worth listening to.

I've been with XM since they've been started selling the product - I guess over 4 years now and it's a great product, especially if you travel in a car a lot which I did a while back - got love the crystal clear sound especially when your in the no where's land :). I've got an alpline deck in the car and the old delphi in the home - the only thing i can complain about is the equipment for home (it's changing now), but i have to connect via RCA jacks - non digitial connection - bummer - :(

Funny you guys are talking about this, as an installer (day job LOL) I remember installing my first XM in 99 or 2000 and thinking "Ya that's cool but it's like all other fads. It'll pass" So fast forward six years I will install 5 to 8 new XM or Sirus unit a week .... yes I said week. So the math goes 5x6x3 (three installers) 90 units a week. Some fad
