"Sarah" revised trailer

Hey guys. Just posting let you know there's a revised version of the "Sarah" trailer on vimeo at

http://vimeo.com/1837399

Some subtle, but cool changes vs. the old trailer, including a few new shots. I also think this version of the trailer also "hooks" the viewer a bit better. Enjoy, feedback is, as always, welcome and appreciated =)

Please tell me what set up you had for this from adapter to lighting to audio. This was simply amazing from visuals to audio. big budget look.

As an independent production shot with the HVX, I'd say damn fine work!

As a Hollywood 35mm movie, I'd say straight to video.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Off the top of my head, here goes: We had the HVX200 with Redrock and a set of relatively fast Nikon primes. Our lighting package consisted of a few Kinos (Diva light, some single tubes) some tungsten, 1ks, 2ks, 650s, china balls, and our big daddy, the 4k HMI. That HMI was a beautiful beast, and was primarily used in many of the lighting schemes where natural light was implied. We also had a Peewee dolly, which kicked butt in so many ways... I'm very happy to have been able to play with all the right toys =) On the audio end, we had an AT835b (I believe) shotgun mic, usually mounted to a C-stand somewhere, lol. Our key talent were also mic'd with wireless lavs, all feeding into a Mackie-Onyx mixer where our excellent sound man did his thing.

Yeah, it would probably be a good I deal if you can have it scored with original music so you won't run into any obstacles. Lots of potential there. were these lights rented?

Nah, our intentions right now aren't to approach distributors or buyers, we're approaching things a bit less traditionally. When we intend to sell the film it will of course have an original score in place, as well as a complete post sweetening. To make it brief, "Sarah" is an 'abbreviated feature', in that it is 1 of 3 short films that will comprise an anthology horror film. We're using the completed "Sarah" as a sales tool to bankroll the other 2 shorts.

The lights were rented from a local grip and electric facility along with a 3 ton truck. Incidentally, I've discovered that I love visiting the rental facility... it looks like freakin Toys R' Us for big kids! =)

Amazing work.

My favorite shot was the dolly shot in the living room across the two people.

Fantastic lighting. Looked like the color grade changed to blue, just for the one shot.

Nice music, really made it work to.

I can't wait to see this, where can we buy?!

Thanks so much Robbie, our DP Frank Sun did a fanastic job, I'm sure he'd appreciate all the kind words. 1 shot changed to blue, really? Can you timecode me? =) I'm a perfectionist and haven't noticed it, lol. The film itself won't be for sale for a while, but you can check on the progress occassionally through www.myspace.com/negativespacefilms Thanks again!

Great work man! This was one of those rare times that I actually FELT like it was authentic as opposed to me trying to believe a story.
