Sapphire plug ins?

Hey guys, I've been looking at the Sapphire plug ins for a long time, I even purchased Shake for that exact purpose (and other things as well, don't get me wrong) but as it stands now, Shake is dead as far as development is concerned and Motion, FCP, and everything else is doing fine. Since Adobe is going to release their whole new video line back on the Mac, I'm looking into getting it for After Effects.

So, the question is what should I do regarding the Sapphire plug ins? According to the site, there are two versions of the license, one that works with Shake and Avid and another that works with After Effects, FCP, and Combustion. Since I don't intend to use Avid and Shake isn't being worked on anymore, would it be a better buy to get the AE/FCP/Combustion license instead?

Shake is no longer in development, but that doesn't mean it's no longer a strong package. What do you do? If you're compositing, and adding Sapphire effects, use shake. If your purposes are more motion graphics oriented, you will be better served by after effects.

Shake still kicks ass, renders at very high quality and I'm sure Apple will make the the upgrade to the next-gen "Phenomenom" next year as painless and dollarless as possible for mac users.
Off course the shake licence for these plugs is a lot to shell out. Like tumblemonster said it depends on what you do. Altough I prefer the nodal based workflow over te pulldown AE interface any day. And Shake combined with Motion can do pretty nice things. A bit of a hassle, but that will be resolved in 2008.
