Sanken CS 1 Microphone

Has anyone used the Sanken CS 1 shotgun microphone? As I am thinking of purchasing it as a shotgun mic for boom and on camera mic when doing shoot and run doco’s. I know it is shorter than the sennheiser shotgun ME66.
Also does anyone have any recommendations for a good radio mic? It would be great to wire up the talent and not to have to worry about chasing them with a boom mic.

iam happy with my me66, but there are so many out there, depending on your situation.

there are cheap wireless mics out there, dont fall for the trap, they suffer from interference in most situations. If you got the dough buy a high end one.

I prefer lavs, hidden all over the place, you can always add reverb later

I have the sanken CS-1 and am very pleased with it. Very directional and good sound. Only thing i noticed is that low frequencies are slightly weaker than other mic's i've tried.
