Sands of Time...

My lens is gritty,
My time is short.

It is a pity,
I'm sad to report.

Oh where, oh where can I go
to resolve this dilemma?

To start minor surgery?
Or to, instead, take an enemma?

Thanks for your support...

If it's just dirty, buy a lens cleaning kit. They're pretty cheap, and definitely worth it.

If you're saying the lens is chipped or scratched, then I'm sorry. Maybe there are people out there who can buff it out, I'm not sure. You might end up buying a new camera.

Either way, buy a ND filter. That way, the filter will get cracked and dirty, not the lens.

Thanks James,
Sorry. Probably got too cutzy and didn't spell out that it is an 'internal' gritty, not external. When I turn the focus ring there is a feeling like sand inside the lens somewhere. I'd appreciate any thoughts on making it 'un-gritty'.

Thanks again.

Again my apologies. Just did some research and found an old post where I asked the same question on the lens. Barry was kind enough to point me in the right direction. I just got lost in the interim. I'll go away now and start hiding my own easter eggs which won't ever be found (by me, anyway)..
