SanDisk Extreme sdhc

Hello. I just recently bought myself a HMC150 and I have been searching around on some sites to figure out an answer to my problem. So If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated. Forgive me if it is a simple little thing that I am just to stupid to realize whats wrong.
Problem: I bought an 8gb San Disk extreme sdhc card for the camera and I put it in and formatted it and everything but when I have the recording format set at any PH mode or HA mode the camera will say cannot record ph mode and ha mode into this card. The card is class 10 and should record these modes. What am I doing wrong?

make sure you have the latest firmware on the camera, most of them come with class6 support and you need to update the firmware to make it work

I haven't been able to do it because I don't have the AC cord that plugs directly into camera and I need that for the update. I bought the camera from a friend and can't find the cord so I am going to have to buy one or something. Ill post up if it works when I get it though. Thanks again for the help.
