Sandisk Class 6 30 mb/s for hacked GH2?

Hi!

So I have just recieved my beloved GH2!!!!! It feels so solid and nice, just what I hoped it would be!

I was thinking about starting out with some hacks. Is anyone here using the Sandisk Ultra class 6 30 mb/s cards? I know this card will do for unhacked shooting, but has anyone tested how far up you can push this specific 30 mb/s card? Anyone with the driftwood hack? Will it work with the hack at all?
 
I was asking because there is Sandisk class 10 30mb/s cards and class 6 30mb/s cards... I happen to have two 16gb class 6 30 mb/s at home.

So if I understand it the only difference is the classes, but the most important thing is how many mb/s the writing is, right?
 
yea the classes thing is getting irrelevant, theres too wide of a margin within each class, so it's not a really good thing to go by anymore, just go by mb/sec. the new sandisks are now re-classing to UHS class 1 at 95mb/sec

Thanks for the input man! So you're saying that my current cards should make it with the hacks?
 
it seems that if you use the highest bitrates 30mb/s will not work. It will work but not the maximum bitrate.
 
The hack has been tested and works most stable with the Class 10 Sandisk 30 MB/s cards and the newer 90MB/s cards. Anything else and you might get some unexpected results. I would stick with these two choices to avoid any issues.
 
I can confirm that the new SanDisk Ultra class 6 30mb/s cards are not as good as the old Extreme class 10 30mb/s cards.

Initial testing with EOSHD Vanilla 44mb/s patch in 1080p24 mode seemed ok but when I tried 720p60 mode I got the "MOTION RECORDING WAS CANCELLED DUE TO THE LIMITATIONS OF THE WRITING SPEED OF THE CARD" error which locked up my camera necessitating a battery eject to switch it off.

I bought 2x 32gb Ultras for which I'm trying to get a refund. I know this thread is a few months old but I thought I'd add this just in case anyone else googles their way here.
