Sandisk Class 4 SDHC: Problem Free?

I apologize in advance for the boring question -- I've looked though numerous threads on SDHC cards for the HMC150, and have seen a wide variety of answers regarding whether or not a Class 6 card is preferable to a Class 4.

Best I can tell the answer is: "It depends on the brand of SDHC card."

So, is a Sandisk "Ultra" Class 4 (up to 15 MB/sec) 32 GB card a solid choice?

I will be purchasing three or four cards in the next day.

I don't see 32GB Sandisk 20MB/sec Class 6 cards at B&H here.

Many Thanks.

Info in which you may or may not be interested: I tried the Sandisk 32GB Class 10 card, and it does not work with my consumer Canon cameras (I later found threads on this). Also, I do not yet own the HMC150, but it is looking like the one to buy, once the RED Scarlet 2/3" Fixed and the following wave of Japanese cameras push HMC150 used prices down a bit. I'm largely interested in available light performance. And just don't think consumer cam's are going to catch up with respect to low light performance in the next, oh, say, 10 years.

Ripple,

Sandisk cards are IMHO, one of the best cards available. They do make different grades and classes, but the ultra class 4 will do you just fine.

I've had no issues with the 32G Kingston Class 4 Card with my HMC-150 (or TM-700). I have 2 of them. My only complaint is that the offloading is noticeably slower than a Class 6 (as you would expect), and I tend to notice that when I'm trying to offload the card to get to a gig :-).

Worked Well...

Worked Well...

Just wanted to follow up and say thanks for posting. I bought four 32GB Sandisk 15MB/sec "Class 4" cards for a three day shoot. Each card got roughly 3 hours of footage recorded and downloaded each day, without error. The download speed is a little slow, at 70 sec/MB (via a Sonnet ExpressCard/34 adapter). But the Sandisk 30MB/sec Class 10 cards are twice as expensive, are unnecessary the HMC150 (probably my next camera), and incompatible with my current consumer AVCHD Canons (HF100's).
