Greetings!

Is there any interest in having a SECOND HVX user meeting in the City?

I've got the screening room reserved for June 28th, if there is interest here at BAVC. 7-10pm Wednesday June 28th?

Any interest?

If so, let's put together an agenda of things to cover, or things we'd like to have accomplished for the meeting.

I've got a short film I'd love to show (but it wasn't shot on the DVX)

Sounds good. I'd be interested if anyone has any experience in fx workflow with the HVX. Can we set aside a few minutes for that on the agenda?
 
If you have a meeting before June 24th, I'll bring my magiqcam steadicam system and dvrigpro with the stealth controller attached so you can see how it all mounts up. I'm also getting ready this week to test out using an anamorphic lens for the DVX on the HVX. I'm still trying to decide on that M2 adapter. I just don't have a reason to buy it quite yet.

I can't make it after the 24th cause I'm heading on a roadtrip with my gear. Still trying to figure out how i'm gonna rechange the batteries.

I'm sure if we did and there were enough of us we could Jared and Barry up here when they had a few days.

The DVX anamorphic is a 72mm thread, the HVX is 82mm. I wonder if you're going to have to do some zooming in. If it works that would be a damn cool aspect ratio. I have a 72-82mm step down ring that will work if you want to borrow it.
 
I'm in for the bootcamp by the Bay.

What is the next step?
Should we make an initial counting of possible candidates and submit results to Barry and Jared?
 
Ya got two more if it happens this month. But I doubt Barry has the time with the move and all.

How about it Barry? Hey do you still have the Beaulieu and the CP16 I sold ya back in 2001? Just curious if you ever use any of your 16mm gear.
 
Still have the CP, sold the Beaulieu.

Haven't shot 16mm other than as test footage since getting the HVX. I love film, but with no place nearby to process it or transfer it, it's become too cumbersome for anything but the biggest budgets.
 
Can we start to work out a loose agenda of things to do/cover for the June 28th gathering?
