San Diego newbie needs to get up to speed/DVX

Hi all. I'm producing a project (instructional music dvd) that's going to require me to be the "camera guy" on some of the interview footage. I can't afford to fly another body to some of the remote shoots, ( can hire locally for some i suppose) but I think it would be better to just learn to get it together myself.

I mainly need to get interview footage, indoors.

What I'm looking for is to find someone to give me a one on one tutorial on the skills needed to operate a DVX (or GL2) well enough to get useable footage. I know NOTHING, with the exception of owning a little panasonic 3ccd cam ( not quality enough for what I'm doing)
I want to gain a working knowledge about lighting/lenses, techniques etc.

Willing to pay a fair rate for your expertise and guidance.

please contact:
cajonezzz@hotmail.com or Private message here. I'll reply with a ph #

Oceanside area, or Chula Vista area would be great ... I'm commuting between those two places for the next two months.

I don't mean to obligate him in any way, but John Hudson is in San Diego and is a fantastic resource on all things dvx ;)
