I was looking through Samy's camera rental catalog, and browsed the video section. I noticed that they charge $400/4 days, then I scrolled down to Sony and noticed the EX1 was only $300/4 days. I personally bought the HVX over the EX1 for many of my own reasons, and I'm glad I did. But it seems like the overall demand for HVX's must still be higher than EX1's.
Samy's charges more for HVX rental than EX1 rental

Us camera nerds get the trends before the masses do...it will only be 6-12 months before the masses switch as well.
