Samyang footage 85mm 1.4

[Katty Galloo]

Hey people ,

I shot some footage withe the Samyang 85mm 1.4 and want to share some impressions. The Samyang seems to me an awesome lens for its price.
I shot a couple in the bedroom with just a small house lamp 3200 kelvin next to the bed at 400 ISO and Iris of the lens at 2.0 in the standard format
1080 24p , MTS files 4.2.0 color space. ( see footage )

My first impressions of the lens is that the lens is well build quality and solid, also the iris ring and focus ring working both very smooth.
Shooting with the lens requires attention course its hard to keep the a even slight moving talent in to focus , the freedom you have are just a few inches
not to go out of focus. The image is quit soft and gives you a cinematic look, so as far for me thats the way I like it especially when you shoot skin
it gives you a kind of softness witch i adore.
