Samurai, AF100, and dual recording

I've done a search and pretty much read my manuals, and saw where the AF100 will record to both mediums - (I only saw that on the internet, not in the manuals) , but I ran into a problem today when the sd card filled up and the camera would not record. Could someone here shed some light on this and tell me what menu I have missed? I put a fresh sd card in and all was well, but I guess only until it gets full again. Thank You,

Jack

You haven't missed any menus - of course you need a card with space to record on, the camera doesn't know the Samurai exists.

Thanks Tom, this may be a stoopid question, but what is the point of having the ssd in the samurai to gather more and better output if I still have to fiddle with the cards? I did not realize I would have to add sd capacity when I got the samurai. Live & learn as they say...

I believe you can just hit record on the samurai if you don't have media in the camera.

I think you are right - the camera will not trigger the samurai though so it is manual, but it appears to record to the ssd I think

if you want to use the camera's record button to flag the Samurai record you need a card in, otherwise the camera will think there is no card and therefore won't go into record mode.
