Samsung NX1 vs BMPC4K vs Panasonic LX100

Yeah man!
I watch all your reviews, sometimes just for the fun of it.

Thanks for this one. I'll be getting one of these almost for certain.

Glad you enjoy them :)
The camera is nice. Like most cameras there are some odds and issues but as a whole compared to oner DSLRs and mirror less its got a lot going for it and a really nice image imo.

A little experiment to give me an idea what type of shots that I could sneak into a regular 4K video for slow motion.

Some vacation clips,

I almost didn’t grade the image at all. I just aded some grain, saturation and adjusted the levels (the later two could be down in camera).

I really wanted the saturation to pop in this one unlike my last video from Old Town in Stockholm.
Some might consider heavy contrast and saturation as ”video” which is fine.
But as a guy who still shoots film and develops it at home in his kitchen I can say, go develop som e-6 and tell me if you think it looked flat :)

Please share your settings on this shoot. This looks incredible and you have done a great job controlling highlights. This cam seems to be imo exhibiting better dr than the bmpc 4k.

I found the highlights fine but juuuuuust on the brink of breaking in many shots. What I liked most: the colors. Super nice.

It was dynamic Dr, standard pp with saturation/contrast -5, sharpness -10 and black level 5.

Yup I wanted it to look as bright as it felt. But the info is there if I bring it down in post, no clipping accept for some minor twinkle in water.
I really like what I get from ettr with it.
