Samsung NX1 getting log-like setting

OK, so you did 80 Mbps (aka Pro) and 80 x 6.5 = 500 Mbps, which is not so accidentally is ProRes Standard.

The visual difference of the first generation from the ProRes Standard and the ProRes HQ is presumably negligible.

And this renders the external recorder largely superfluous.

No, it's still worth it if your doing heavy grading for 4:2:2 color also you can edit immediately.

Has anyone tested the NX1 with the Atomos Shogun or 7Q yet? I personally have my eye on the new PIX recorders but I would love to know if running the footage to a recorder (8 bit 4:2:2 vs 8 bit 4:2:0) will help with some of the issues people have been having with banding, low light macro blocking. There seems to be evidence that the issue is the compression from the H.265. Someone please test this if you are able. There has yet to be a single video online of an NX1 running with a 4K recorder. I am looking to buy a nice monitor anyways so I don't think $1.2K for a nice monitor/recorder is too much considering how cheap the cameras is, even if it only leads to a slight increase in video quality.

I know the Atomos will record it, also the new Blackmagic Assist will downscale it to HD and record it. I would think it would help with those issues but not to sure. Going to have to wait till next update to see what direction Samsung is going. If they add more video based stuff we might have a few things we ask for before you buy a recorder.
