Samsung NX1 firmware update 1.30

I did a super quick test yesterday. Nothing fancy, just a wide shot of my living room with the 16-50 f2/2.8.
I see that the HD is better now, but I still think it's kind of mushy. Need to test it with people in the frame.
I mean, I've been using the NX1 for super slowmotion and it's fine for a $1500 camera....But for 24p and 30p, UHD is the only way to go for me.

And like I said, FHD much improved shooting things or people, 23.976 included. Thank you again Samsung for making the NX1 better with your upgrades.

Is it me or the sharpening is even more evident than before? I have it all the way down to -10 and still the sharpening is nuts!

Anybody knows where to download the firmware 1.3?? When I go to the Samsung web site it comes back as "page not found"...
Thank you!

Can you shoot H.264 in FHD?

You need the Samsung I-Launcher App. In earlier firmware upgrades it was in the same page where info about the upgrade was. I don't know what is going on with that now. Once you install the App. on your computer you hook up the camera with the USB camera and follow the instructions. There must be some technical difficulties with the page on the Samsung site. It's pretty strange.

Great for carrying around anywhere you go, but unlikely to be used if the budget allows for, say, an FS7

Tourist camera (A7s or NX1): you can take it anywhere that you won't be taken as professional so you won't be bother and asked to leave.
F35 or Red one: not tourist cameras

Hardly a video camera of choice for a tourist would be a better conclusion. H265 in its current state is hardly a smart or convenient choice for anybody using the NX1 as a casual video user. It is simply too cumbersome and problematic. Also 4K is not a standard camera choice yet for light and casual users. Tourists nowadays would rather use a Samsung phone camera for video capture before going through the headaches of H265 4k. Where is Philip Bloom when we need him? Best reviewer out there haven't done one on the NX1. When he reviews cameras he does it the real way. Take it out there and give it the full treatment. Lots of action, movement and fact full opinions. Are you listening Mr. Bloom? Where are thou?
BTW. The A7s could be a tourist camera because it isn't a 4K camera. Unless of course you invest a couple of grand for a recorder and
awkwardly attach it to the camera. Something you of course wouldn't expect a casual tourist to do at all.
