Sample CLip Please?

Greetings, I am just about to pull the trigger on the HMC 150 but I am a bit concerned about editing and work flow and my editing equipment. Here is what i currently have...

DVX100b
MacBook Pro 2.5GHz Core 2 duo
2 gb ddr2 sdram
Final Cut 7

Again i am worried about the work flow and the time that it takes from shooting to editing. A lot of my work envoles shooting and editing 1 to 2 minute clips in a couple hours. So i like to have about 3-4 hours to shoot and edit these types of vids.

Is the workflow much slower when compared to capturing from the DVX? Thoughts?

Also if anyone has a short clip straight from the HMC 150 that i could use experiment with the process?

On my MBP 2.33 C2D HMC150 footage took approx 1.8 times real time, i.e. a 1 min clip would take 1.8 mins to ingest in to FCP 7. With the 8 core mac pro a 1 min clip too less than 30 seconds. Hope that helps.

Sorry I can't forward you any clips for FCP. Most of my card images are > 8GB so that's not going to work too well. Maybe some one will grab you a 1 min clip and zip up the card for you.....?

Of course, FCP X may change the need to transcode at all - and it's due out this month, many think this week.
