Here's a SDE Trailer we did last weekend. I was especially excited about this wedding because of a new piece of gear that arrived the day before the wedding. Shot with all HMC150s and you will see three slider shots during the reception.

Thanks guys.
I used the DP Slider. It was so easy to use and is very well made. You can check it out at this link. I have the V 720 and you can save $50 by using "von" in the coupon code box.

I like the looks of that slider. I have been in the market for one for several weeks now and have researching to death all the different ones out there (and everyone knows there are a lot).

Anyway, can you give us a little more info on that slider? What is the bearing set-up? The website says roller bearings but I would like a little more info on that. Also, where are these guys located? Did you just order from the website? Any problems with receiving it?

Thanks alot. I just wanting to get all the info I can before making my decision.

I don't know a lot about the bearing setup. I believe the roller bearings are metal instead of plastic and they are self lubricating for life. I was training a company in North Carolina and one of the guys has some experience in a machine shop. He was very impressed with the construction of the unit. The DP Slider comes from the Detroit Michigan area and the packaging for shipping was very good. Feel free to use the contact us feature on the webiste. The designer of the DP Slider can answer any additional questions. He is an engineer by day and a videographer/filmmaker on the side, so he knows what we need in a slider.

This is the only slider I have ever had my hands on. I have heard good things about the Cinevate brand, but they are pricey and I don't think they are as versatile. I have heard from other video friends that the Glidetrack and Indieslider are not super smooth and often takes a few tries to get a good take.

I have now used the DP Slider on three shoots and each time, I become more impressed with it. On the last shoot, I did slider moves with the HMC150 zoomed in at 100% while racking focus. Super smooth. I'll upload the footage and give you a link.

I had my hands on one for a short period of time, and loved it. Very versatile in different setups, and nice and smooth. I am planning on ordering one very soon.

Nice wedding trailer Mark and those slider shots are breathtaking!
I enjoy you work and love your style!
