I don't know why she reacted like this---

Very interesting ... and good point ...

Maybe it has something to do with a trained / handlible snake introduced to her through a professional trainer vs some wild pissed off looking thing slithering up to her?

Also. Even if you hadn't posted the first clip. I'd be glad you posted the second ...

Back in the day I remember her having to go through all kinds of therapy, counseling and was hypnotized countless times to help her get over her fear of snakes for RR's movie where she handled the big white snake. Looks like it all wore off.

Nastassja Kinski still gets top honors when it comes to working with reptiles, in *my* book...

I don't understand people's fear of snakes, or at least, fear of constrictors. I used to keep pythons, and in my experience they basically divide the world into small-enough-to-eat, and too-big-to-eat. If you are in the too-big-to-eat category, you have very little, if anything, to worry about...

Maybe. But that would imply an associated phobia concerning apples. Or possibly seed-bearing fruit, in general.

Phobias aren't rational, which is why if you don't have one, you can't rationally understand someone who does. They short circuit the reasoning center of the brain.

Oh, I have my own phobias. I have an unusually strong aversion, to fire.

I used to have trouble with heights, until I took up skydiving. That sorted that particular phobia right the f*ck out...

Yeah, well, Salma danced with a giant constrictor snake for hours on end, so apparently exposure therapy didn't work for her.
