SALE: cucoloris patterns - Digital Juice Shadow Kit $199

I had been wanting something like this light modifier kit, so did the deal. If I had paid the "ordinary" price of $599, I would have felt really ripped off. But at $199, I felt there was good value. At first, I set this up and attempted to use a hard source 600-LED fixture at 1/4 of full power, and thought crap, this isn't working at all, what's wrong? I changed the lighting power up and down, varied all the distances, diffused the source and nothing seemed to work. Next, I got out a couple of Arri fresnels in 300 and 150W and badabing! it worked great and changing the focus on the fresnel changed the effects in a nice creative way. There is a nice quantity and variation of patterns in the kit. The frame would remind you of a Scrim-Jim with a heavy master fabric mount that slips on.. The patterns velcro to the master fabric providing a very quick change option. Several of the patterns were mangled a bit on one corner from the factory, but it doesn't much matter. Maybe the slickest design feature is the packaging. The whole shebang rolls up into an impressively small roll. This is a decent product, especially for $200.
