Anyone have experience with the Sony A Mount 16-50 2.8 and an LA-EA2 adapter on the FS100 or 700?

I've read so many good things about the lens, but i'm mostly interested in hearing how Auto Focus is. Fast enough to keep someone in focus as they run toward the camera, even at f3.5?

I would consider buying this combo, though i hate to lose OSS.

I'm actually hoping Sony comes out with a lens as good as this but in E Mount. The AF wouldn't be as fast though, huh?

i have this combo, i share u my experience.
before i buy this, i have check sigma and sony, although sigma has IS, sony not, but this sony lense won't be so shaky as u thought even when u hand hold shooting, it's better if u have a monopod. u can say it's almost same stable when u handhold shooting compare sigma and sony.
but sony lense color is much better than sigma, when u compare on TV screen.
the AF is ok, it depends on how critical of ur video. low budget video product, and lazy rushing shooting, the AF is ok,
compare with E mount, E mount it's slowly changing focus , the A mount is faster changing focus and u will notice it's changing, also sometimes a little jumping, but not serious, as i remember the NIkon has new camera can AF, but Nikon that is terrible, the lense AF is acceptable..depend on ur budget video.
AF, e mount is better. A mount , acceptable
image quality.. this lense is better than e mount 18-200.
IS, e mount 18-200 better thatn A mount 18-50
