Safer Seas Again...

Re: Safer Seas Again...

No. Here's why. I wanted an anamorphic adapter. I live an hour away w/o traffic (Fairfield). I called them to make sure they have one. The guy leaves the phone, comes back and says, "come on down". I go on down and whadda you think happens???

They don't have any.

I asked the guy, "what did you do when you left the phone."

His answer..... "I don't know."

I strongly recommend against buying from people on drugs. Other than that experience, I have no advice to offer you.

Re: Safer Seas Again...

I bought from them about a year ago and will never do so again. Bar none the worst customer service ever. Actually it should be called NO customer service.

Re: Safer Seas Again...

EVSOnline.com .... Get the # and then call Rush.

Search the posts and you will see why many (inlcuding myself) have purchased from him.

Re: Safer Seas Again...

You can't beat the service from EVS. I always refere people to them never had anybody say anything negitive about them.

Well, from what I've heard, Rush is not a great country dancer, so that's sort of negative. :-/

Re: Safer Seas Again...

Well, he's okay with the line dancing. You just can't leave him to his own devices.

Re: Safer Seas Again...

It's my doggone boots, they're flopping around like 90 year old alligators, all gum and no teeth.. Get me new boots, and you'll see some country. ;D

PS: I did cut my teeth on line dancing. ;)

Re: Safer Seas Again...

So, here's one for you.

I bought almost $10,000.00 worth of equiptment from Safer Seas about 4 months ago, including a second DVX 100. After months of stringing me along and totally lying to me, THEY WENT BANKRUPT ON ME.

Those guy's (Mark and Jay) are real s%^$ heads! I think they even took my money while they were in the process of filing for bankruptcy. And because they asked me to pay with a check instead of a credit card, there's not a thing i can do about it.

Did anyone else get burned?

Re: Safer Seas Again...

That sucks. You hear about these people but you never think evil like that really exists. I'm very sorry that happened to you. I hope there;s something you can do to get some, if not all, of your money back.

Re: Safer Seas Again...

So...I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I'm getting the impression that buying there might not be a good idea.

Re: Safer Seas Again...eir

You can buy from them if you like.......i'm sure they're in good shape now that they don't owe any of their creditors, like me.

Check out the offer i made to everyone:

Back in the 80's, I got burned with an Austin based computer company, Cork Computer. Did the same thing. Took my check for $5000 and went bankrupt a month later. Never returned phone calls, etc.. I managed to get back $1200 minus $200 lawyer fees. Set me back YEARS. It still is a sore spot. I'll bet while Safer Seas was sinking, they were still taking orders like mad. Bastardos...
