FS7: safe to buy fs7 from gadget circuit?

From what I've been told even ones sold on eBay are typically gray/international/import model cameras. Like the above said no us warranty, just their store warranty.

Buy pro gear from authorized dealer. I would go so far as to say buy pro gear from a dedicated var rather than a box house. The price is the same. The var offers knowledge, support and advice. A var may even discount non MAP items. A box house ships you a box. A var is a business and networking relationship.

And buying pro gear gray market is just plain risky

Especially if shelling out $7K!

I bought a grey market DVX100 once, it was fine for me and back then you had "moving parts".

Keep asking around, see if you can get anyone else's experience. A $1000 bucks is a thousand bucks.

reseller ratings is worth a look, as long as it's not a Brooklyn based company that uses bait and switch to try to upsale you on ridiculously priced generic batteries and such. buyer beware. I would go to bnh, adorama, abel, texas media, to name a few reputable dealers.

thanks for all the responses! I gave them a call a while ago and was informed it was an import. I guess B&H gets my money unless a used one pops up soon.

Check with our site sponsors, Texas Media Systems, EC Pro Video, etc. Chances are they'll match whatever B&H offers, and if you ask, they might have a b-stock unit that can save you a few bucks.
