He's lost a portion of his tongue to a mouth cancer, has had hip replacement surgery, and he's full-blown alcoholic.
 
Oh man he's looking bad. I guess years of smoking off the end of his guitar has finally got to him. Van Halen was always one of my favorite bands. Wish they would go on tour again (with DLR) but probably not.
 
That man is a legend! I heard something about MS. I feel for the guy and his family...Hot for Teacher is still a classic...long live rock baby!

I do remember when that came out as well, and I grew up with them being number 1 in my mind.

He looks like he should be playing for the rolling stones now. It truly brings a tear to my eye to see him like this. Hopefully Satriani keeps rockin and stayin healthy.
 
There's a price for everything.

Plus, the guy ain't getting any younger, and a pic snapped a second before or after might have been more flattering.
