Hello guys,

Just uploaded my short to Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/67968876

Would love to hear your comments and feedback.

It was shot with two Panasonic GH2s and made in Brooklyn, NY.

Sacrifice chronicles Fatooh, a hungover dad, getting his daughter Anais and
himself through the day to attend a wedding.

Since your asking for feedback, here goes. I thought there was to many opening shots, I think a few good quality establishing shots will be more effective than a bunch of shots that were cut to short. Also some of the shots had different contrast, sharpening, saturation. I just thought the opening needs work. Audio seems distant, it doesn't sound like you had great proximity in some dialogue. exposure seems off from shot to shot, as was the white balance, it's all over the place, post can fix it up though. I think overall with some post work it can be buttoned up and made better. Just remember we all learn every shoot, use this critique as a tool to improve on, and not a discouraging attack.

I liked the overall film but the panning shots in the opening are pretty bad - As if shot on a $50 tripod.
I didnt mind the sound being a bit 'distant' as Maran described it. Sure, it could be better mixed but somehow the flatness of it works rather well with the 'documentary style' camera work.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998

What do you do if Billy Joel's music label sends you a bill for $150,000? You really want to be on the receiving end of that?

This does not constitute legal advice and only posits hypothetical fantastical scenarios.

I had a nimrod go ballistic on me for telling him that yes, Virginia, music copyright exists and it is not determined by chimps on Youtube.

Thanks. Why don't you like the pans? To my feeling they are smooth.. and slow. Taken on Manfrotto 502 Video Head.
