[Matt Gottshalk]

It's a Mick-a-thon!

[HighDriver]

So, Stephen, since you bought the HMC40, you are unloading a lot of stuff, what are you keeping?????

[Stephen Mick]

Well, I won't go into my entire "gear list" here, but for brevity's sake, here are the key pieces…

Panasonic HMC40
Canon 5DII
Canon 7D
Manfrotto/Bogen 755CX3 Tripod with 503HDV Head
Manfrotto Monopod
Rode NTG-3 Microphone
Sennheiser G3 Wireless Microphone System
Sound Devices 302 Mixer
Marantz PMD661 Field Recorder
Zacuto Z-Finder and Tactical Shooter

…and a bunch of other odds and ends, including lenses I won't go into.

Basically, I'm paring down the gear just to make travel lighter and easier. There's little point in hanging on to things that I just don't use.

[dust'n the callipygous]

do you prefer the 755cx3 sticks to the millers? just curious, because that's the same tripod setup i've got.

[Stephen Mick]

It's not as much a question of preference as it is size and weight. To be honest, I absolutely love and will most certainly miss the Miller legs. They're hands-down the best I've ever used for small to mid-sized camcorders, or for a fully kitted-out DSLR setup. But since I've scaled down my shooting rig to a much smaller size, I just don't need the "robustness" of the Miller/Sachtler combo.

That said, I may change my mind and keep it. It's always a filmmaker's prerogative to change his mind.

[Stephen Mick]

Miller legs are sold. Price reduced on the Sachtler head.

[Stephen Mick]

Bump. Awesome Sachtler head is still available.

[Stephen Mick]

Pictures of the Sachtler head added for those who PM'ed me about it.

[Stephen Mick]

Friday bump! Sachtler head is packed and ready to go, just need to find a home for it.

[AwakenedFilms]

I purchased from Stephen recently. He's great to do business with.

Also, I own a DV6SB. Great head. Can handle small cams (HVX / DVX) and large (HPX500)...
