I'm selling a combo of the Sachtler DV6SB tripod head (specification here) and the Sachtler SOOM system (specification). This has been my main tripod setup for nearly two years and I love it. I actually didn't want to sell the SOOM leg at all but I'm moving on to a beefier tripod head and the SOOM just isn't compatible. This is a pretty serious combo. The DV6SB needs no introduction; just ask any professional and they'll have high praise for this particular head. It's been replaced by the more expensive FS8 system, which I've also used and found no difference between them whatsoever and the DV6SB actually has a longer counter balance range. If you're using prosumer size camera like the AF100 it would work very well with this head.
As far as the SOOM tripod, it's probably the most versatile system you can have. Using the SOOM tube (included) you can do very quick height adjustment and the tube also acts as a monopod by itself. The mid level spreader actually disengage and acts as a hi-hat if you need extremely low shot (pictured). I found the whole system to be surprisingly light and not difficult to carry around. Everything is in good condition except for the expected scratches from use. Take a look at the picture and feel free to contact me if you have any question (note that the QR plate is not shown in the picture was it was on my camera). I've sold a ton of items on this site over the years and plenty of people here can vouch for me. I am willing to separate the system but you do get a discount if you buy both.
I'm asking $2000 for both. For the head alone, I'm asking $900 and the tripod system is $1300. Buyer pays shipping and Paypal. Reasonable offer will also be considered. Please contact me via email (vu.huy.qu AT gmail.com).
