what does it mean? recently when i've been uploading it says s_reel error. also recently when recording like half the screen is pixelated and blue and ****. its weird.

anyone know what to do?

Uploading as in capturing? In what? Is it the camera that gives you the s_reel error? Is it s_reel lock, or something else? When, exactly? Does the blue and pixelation show up in the preview, playback, both? Can you be sure it's on the footage and not your screen? Have you tried capturing the same tape with a different camera if you can find one? Have you tried different tapes in your DVX?

yeah it does it many different tapes. and yeah i ment capturing im sorry. its the camera that gives me the message, its red and i just turn off the camera, then it works. its weird but its happening more often and i don't wanna stress my camera if its hurting it

yeah it shows up in the playback and preview, and its on the footage

The way I understand it, the "s reel" is the camera's supply reel; that is, the reel the tape comes from when playing or recording. If, for some reason, the supply reel locks up or does not turn at the correct rpm, you will get a warning message.

That is what s_reel means from my understanding as well. The multiple tapes issue is the important one; the error could have been a failing in the tape itself, but if it does it to multiple tapes there's a good chance the motor is crapping out. Which would require Panasonic service people to work on it for best results.
