S-Video Question

Hi,
I'm working on a shoot where somebody wants to do a live projection, fed from the S-Video on my HVX. I don't have an S-video cable (i'm using his) so is there anything special I need to do in the menus or anything to get the video coming out of the S-Video jack? Can I just plug the cable in and it will work as video out? This shoot is tomorrow, so if anyone can tell me this tonight that would be great!

You will only get a standard def signal with S-Video and it will work as long as you dont have anything connected to the component out of the HVX.
 
thanks! Also, I can record to miniDV at the same time, correct? I don't see why not, I just want to make sure. Thanks!
