S - spline / Photozoom Pro for uprez

I just found out about s-spline (now called photozoom pro) by a company called SHORTCUT. I saw it mentioned here on dvxuser - can't remember where- with no other references to it. If you don't know - it's an awesome looking app to uprez images - the samples on the site looked great.
My question is for any of you who have used it or know how to implement it into the workflow.
I checked out thier site and couldn't find any reference to the product being used in video.

Check it out:

Is this all it's cracked up to be?
Do I export stills and uprez them individually?
What's the workflow?
Where can I get more info for video uprezing with it?

What I am hoping to achieve is an HD rez output with footage from the dvx.
Cheers

Re: S - spline / Photozoom Pro for uprez

Search the threads here, I did an HD up-rez from the DVX and posted an MPG that had the same footage shot on DVX and JVC HDV cameras, but with the DVX up-rezzed, so you can see exactly how it compares.

S-Spline Pro doesn't support video directly, but you can export a series of still frames and batch-process them, then re-combine them into a video clip in your editing program. They are supposed to be working on a full video version.

I found the thread, but the clips aren't there anymore. Any chance of reposting those?

Barry,
Thanks for the info. I tied to download the clip at icexpo but I got the broken qt movie thingy. I'll try again tomorrow.

Try right-clicking and save-as. I got the broken quicktime link too, but I played it from Media Player and it worked...

I used S-Spline for the ASC article that I wrote where we did the 35mm film out. At the time the program did not do batch processing and I requested that from them for this type of work. I also have been using NeatImage to do noise reduction. One of the best software applications for this type of work. Noise reduce the images first then do the uprez. Check out the examples here:
