Well, my DVX100B that I purchased new in 2006 (from Full Compass) to tape weddings, died. 
I've only shot 15 weddings and I use a separate DV camera for playback/capture. The camera is always protected and was treated like gold and has around a 100 hours on it.
Price to resurrect it from the grave....$932.00. :crybaby:
The problem.....S REEL LOCK! :angry:
Turning it off and back on only worked for a short period of time. Cleaning made no difference. A quick search on line yielded that other users had experienced the same kind of error message.
