S&Q Recording - 1fps

OK, so I tried recording a time lapse video using the S&Q mode at 1fps.

The thing seemed to freeze, although I think it was somehow slow to write to the SD Card.

I waited like 5 minutes to see if anything would happen, and even when I powered down the unit, it was still writing to the SD Card. I had to pull the battery to restart the thing.

Wish they had a progressive bar to tell us what is going on.

Anyone else had this problem?
 
I have done 1fps and other than a sluggish display which I would expect at that frame rate, nothing odd happened. Bad card maybe?
