?s on 24p and remote movie shooting

My research so far has indicated to me the answer to at least the first will be no, but there's no greater resource than a diverse online community so I thought I should ask.

The "24p" mode on the 5D is currently 23.98, which while ideal for movies going to NTSC is not ideal when you're trying match frame sync with an actual 24p camera (like 35mm film cameras). While it's highly unlikely that both cameras would be exposing the same 1/48th second in time, one camera shooting 23.98 and the other shooting true 24 will result in the cameras being exactly 1 frame off after 50 seconds of shooting (the 1200th frame from the 35mm camera will match up with the 1199th frame from the 5D). For my purposes, I need the actual, un-timeremapped frames to line up. :(

So my question is, is there a true 24p mode on the 5D, through custom firmware or whatnot? Magic Lantern didn't seem to have it.

Second question: Does anyone have any experience with triggering movie recording wirelessly or wired?

My research has found a plethora of confused and contradictory answers such as "The Canon RC wireless remotes will trigger movie recording" (pretty sure that's false) and "Only way to trigger movie recording via remote is via the IR" or "The Canon EOS disk works fantastic for this." I've also come across some solutions such as DSLR Remote Pro.

Ideally I'd be triggering 1-3 cameras to start and stop at the same time (ideally starting at the EXACT same time with no more than a few frames difference), and having the cameras save to their own memory card. Also ideally, I wouldn't be running tons of cable around set. Bluetooth and RF are both iffy because of concerns with interference which doesn't leave me with a lot of options.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

No true 24fps. We recently had dslr 24fps b-roll in a feature shot at true 24 on an alexa. We imported the canon footage into an nle and laid back to HDCamSr at true 24fps - the nle mapped the 23.98 footage frame for frame to true 24fps. This 23.98 to 24 conversion tape then became the source used in the final edit. It was action stuff - fire fights and fist fights - so sync dialogue was not an issue.

Sorry, no wireless firing advice

I forgot - if you're posting on an avid edit system, you will find that each 23.976-clip in your sequence has a motion adapter on it. If you open effects mode on such a clip, you can promote the motion adapter to a timewarp effect. Then you can set it to 100% and Both Fields. This way, the shot will play back frame-by-frame, and no time correction is added.
