As a person who bought 2 s log 444 upgrades for full price (I think around $4000 each) - I was wondering what everyone else's thoughts are on this - pass this discount onto the F55.

What do you think?

Probably wouldn't happen but just wondering.

Wishful thinking, I too bought it for that price, but the chance of it happening is slim-none.

At the original online Q&A, when asked that question, Sony said that they "are considering it".
It's probably going to be on Dec 22, after the end of the world. If not, they said Mrs. Waite is in charge of customer loyalty programs. Helen is her first name.
So if you want to cash-in on your SLOG loyalty discount go to Helen Waite. :violin:

LOL. After watching 3 hours of Hobbit in Imax HFR, I needed that. Actually, the HFR wasn't that bad (I'll be writing about it). The trailers for the upcoming 3D junk were just downright painful.

C'mon-- let's give it up on the S-Log. I bought a new BMW in Jan 2010 with a $2500 rebate. In May, they boosted the rebate to $5K through dealer incentives. I could spend my time camped out on the west side of the Garden St Pkwy at BMW USA or the east side of the GSP at Sony. I'm doing neither. I'm just telling myself how thankful I am that I didn't buy an Epic at $34K. It could always be worse.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

I saw the trailer of the Hobbit at the theater (before Life of Pi.) I could see the makeup on the characters. It broke my suspension of disbelief instantly.

The Life of Pi is probably the best film I've seen all year. IMHO in the trailer you could tell the tiger was animated, but not really in the movie. FYI, Life of Pi was shot on the Alexa with Zeiss Master Primes and Angenieux Optimo Lenses.

Yea I guess I need to get over it - that's just the nature of the beast of this game.

HFR - can't wait to NOT see it. I'm old school. Truth is 24 frames per second for me. I am getting old and cranky.

I know it's painful, but just keep looking at the images. It's 3:45am here and I just got home from a late-night music video shoot - and scanning through the footage now, SLOGged F3 is just ridiculously good. Sharp, detailed, clean, and smooth as butter. It's almost difficult to make a bad picture with it. I, for one, am in love.
