S-Log Updates Starting To Arrive

Received mine today from Abel. I had been on the waiting list to send my camera in until they ran out. I like having the extra card anyway.
 
Got mine today from B&H after about 2.5 weeks. Anyone know if the S-log portion is permanent on the card? I'm afraid to use it as a recording method on shoots...don't want S-log deleted!
 
The S-Log key resides in a hidden partition on the card. Until you install the S-Log, your card will show no space available. Once you install then the card itself is available for camera recording. Reformatting the card does not affect the hidden partition if for any reason you wanted to uninstall the S-Log key. Remember that S-Log is built into the camera and only needs to be unlocked. But this does give you a working 32gb SxS-1 card one you've installed the key.

Thanks Ned, just trying to think ahead, I now have 3 32GB SxS-1 cards and I really only need two. I am thinking of selling off one of my cards, while using the upgrade card if something goes wrong with it and I needed to uninstall the key from the camera could I "Remove the Option" to another 32GB SxS-1 card?

Just answered my question by trying it out, it seems like you can remove the option to another card then re-install that option from that card. Still I'd like to verify this with someone that has more knowledge on this.

FOR CANADIAN F3 owners/operators...

Just came back from Vistek in Toronto. Placed a deposit for S-log upgrade. Price: $1035CAD (yeah, I know: more than US...)
But, this ends all the speculation that was floating around (before),here in Canada: upgrade cames on the SxS card, same as in US or anywhere else in the world for that matter.
Estimated delivery: 3 weeks...

around 3 weeks ago I spoke to vistek and they insisted that the S-log upgrade will cost 1300sth CAD and with no SxS card included. So I ordered my from BH.....
