Hi --

I'm looking for a rental of the S-Log firmware (I already own a F3 package), ideally for the weekend of August 27/28th in NYC. Also looking to rent a Ki Pro and the necessary cables. Anybody have any suggestions or leads?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can rent a firmware upgrade... One camera one upgrade. Someone has paid $3680.00 for it, and they are not going to let you put it on your camera for 100 bucks. You must buy yourself or rent a camera that has it.

Really......So if you rent will it stay on your camera as a firmware upgrade, if not, how does it work temporary for a rental period.

I you read my post before it says how they protect from copies. You have to unmount it from the camera that has it and mounted on the other camera and the unmount it again.

Because the camera is designed to permit you to "remove" or "uninstall" the option back onto the SxS card.

Preusmably, anyone renting it out will verify that the option has been put back on the card when it gets returned. If a renter chose to return the card empty, they could be charged the cost, as if it had been lost or stolen.

Very cool, I stand corrected. Thought was a one time deal.

P.S. Mod. Where in the profile edit can you change Avatar, need to get that EX off there..can't seem to figure it out. thx, just send PM.

Also just saw some nice f-3 stuff here http://vimeo.com/groups/pmwf3/videos/27796438
Models on a beach, real nice looking footage.

I'd also be considering non-NYC rentals, because it wouldn't cost much to ship the upgrade to NYC. And it's quite possible the shoot date is now Thursday, 25th and/or Saturday, 27th.... please PM me if you are interested in discussing a rental!
