S-log color grading?

I've been using the Curves tool in Looks with good success, basically just bring the mids up a bunch (if the image is exposed correctly, ie: a stop or two under) adjust the blacks to taste and add a little saturation if you like. Now this is just a basic first pass but it will get you to a good starting point for exposure and contrast. I always record externally 422 ProRes and Im continually shocked on how much you can push the image around with no ill effect.

So is anyone using a basic LUT to first delog the footage and then use that as a starting point for primaries?
