S gamut vs DCDM REF PJ

Anyone have any preferences what they like better?

I've been using s gamut as the color gamut for the longest time but also found it adds a little bit of green vs dcdm that's closer to rec 709 but less overall green.

any thoughts? I need to start learning more about color reproduction and do some tests today.

I was just toying with this yesterday on a shoot. I actually thought the F900 color space with SLOG looked pretty awesome... i know that theoretically S-Gamut is supposed to be a larger color space, but hey if it looks good why not use it.

DCDM looks good as well, just like you said, slightly different than S-Gamut!

Definitely does sound like time for testing!

@Baddgsx, this isn't about slog, but sgamut. In other words: color reproduction, not dynamic range.

I too have experienced the green tinge in sgamut images, but I understand it as a result of the sensor capturing data that's outside of the lamps' intended spectrum. I mostly experience it with kinoflos and certain practicals. Properly balanced tungsten lights usually look gorgeous.
