I'm trying to attach a Rycote rubber mount for my shotgun Audio Technica At4073a to the side of the HMC40. It sits too high when it's mounted on the accessory shoe and I'm concerned that it wont fit under a camera rain cover.
I could perhaps take off the brass adaptor and then fashion it to the mic holder that came with the HMC40? Or a right angled adaptor - what would something like that be called? (see photos to get a better idea of what I'm talking about)
