I'm going on a trip and would like to travel light so I'm bringing a borrowed RX100II instead of a DSLR and am thinking of using it for video also. Most video I will shoot will be quick point and shoot 1080p video. Anyone have any experience with both of these cameras with 1080p? Besides convenience of a single camera, what are other pros/ cons of bringing the AX100 or just using the RX100II?

thanks.

Only the RX100 II is REALLY a pocket camera.

The RX10 and AX100 are MUCH bigger. May as well just use your DSLR.
The RX100 is REALLY tiny so bear that in mind. It fits in your pocket but is really tiny to operate.
The RX10 is much smaller than a DSLR & of course has a 10X zoom versus the 3x on the RX100. The AX100 is a proper camcorder & much bigger than the RX10. It does shoot 4K but so does the RX10M2 & RX100IV. Rather like I always shoot RAW rather than JPEG with stills I feel that I am doing myself a disservice now to shoot anything but 4K. I always want to shoot in the best possible quality that I can.
