Arcosanti is an urban laboratory focused on innovative design, community, and environmental accountability. Our goal is to actively pursue lean alternatives to urban sprawl based on Paolo Soleri's theory of compact city design, Arcology (architecture + ecology).

Built by over 7,000 volunteers since the commencement of the project in 1970, Arcosanti provides various mixed-use buildings and public spaces where people live, work, visit, and participate in educational and cultural programs. [arcosanti.org]

Beautiful video. I saw moiré in the gentleman's shirt at around :40s?
I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. And I have this camera. I can think of at least 10 cameras that would have done that to the shirt that guy is wearing.

Anywhoo.. Nice video Dan.

Many thanks for the good words Christopher. Always good to hear from you...

Hi Dan,

Love the video. Might be your best yet with the Sony RX 10. I bought mine and got it yesterday. It is still in the box due to traveling. Can you please provide some quick tips on your general settings you use when filming with the Sony RX 10?

Thanks in advance.

Simon

I didn't notice he looked like Kevin Costner. Before and after that shot, I was captivated by the beauty of the images. great eye Dan

Congratulations on the RX10 Simon! I hope it comes out of the box soon.

This camera offers much customization, and finding what works for you may take some time. My usual out-of-the-box settings for most cameras are 1080/60-50p, Vivid +2 Sharpness, -0.3 Exposure (exteriors), Aperture Priority, AWB Auto (RX10 does this well), add polarizer for sunny days. "P" Mode works well, and unlike the GH2/3, you'll be able to see what choices the camera makes, then decide whether to trust it. For exteriors, LCD set to Sunny works better than any camera I've known.

Best of luck, and have some fun...

Hi Dan! I am excited too. I have been able to play with it a bit so far. First impressions are very positive. I am in Colombia, South American now so I look forward to showing some videos once I practice a bit with it.

Thanks for your setting suggestions. I will try them out.

Best regards,

Simon
