Hello all fellow die-hard DVX users.  Sorry to take up a whole thread to say this. I just wanted to give you the heads up that I will be out of the office from Monday March 8 till Friday March 12th, claiming to the management that I am in need of some rest.  They actually believed me  ;D and gave me some time off.  They are such good people.

Even though I am out of the office, I have diverted my work email to my home computer (It works, I tested it) so you can still write me at rush@evsonline.com but you can't call the office for me.  I will also be on DVXuser every other morning to do my rounds as usual, just like I am now.

If you need something in a pinch or if it's an emergency, you can call the main office 800-238-8480 and ask for Ramzi.  He is not aware of all the "DVXuser discounts", so please bear with him.  He is a great guy nonetheless.  If it's a standard order that can wait a couple days, or a question I can get back to in a couple days, please feel free to email me, and I will input the order in the system from my home.  I think I'm supposed to slow down on vacation, a little...So 2 days rather than 2 hours.

Hey, Rush, enjoy your vacation! I don't know, but I'm with management here - you definitely deserve a vacation! In fact, from the sounds of it over the phone, don't even answer emails during the vacation. What kind of maniac workaholic are you! ;D

Thanks for all the help, and hope everyone else over at EVS eventually gets a vacation too. You guys are very busy.

Scratching my head trying to figure out where the hell this thread belongs. Marketplace?...Hardware?.. lol. Screw it. Rush going on holidays is big News so
we will leave it here.

Great meeting you at EVS in Burbank and thanx to Cody for the present...I will be in Vancouver the end of the month so I will personally pass Jared along one.

Sorry to disrupt your vacation with such a complicated question.

I was looking at this package from zotz for the dvx100a

I was wondering(if you don't want to deal with this question I understand) if EVS could provide anything equivalent for the same price also considering I will not have to pay the sales tax on the zotz package because they are in oregon and i am in california. I would prefer to deal with you if possible, but this package seems pretty solid as well. Hope to hear from you . Thanks.

Hi Christy, please email me directly at rush@evsonline.com, and we can discuss it further. It seems do-able to me at our standard DVXuser discounts ;). They are at $4200. I got $4000, minus the tripod, which I am not a dealer for yet. But since the USD list on the Libec M20 is $195, we should be exactly the same, without that item. Ofcourse, you do have to pay the tax...$130. But, there is the advantage of being able to come and pickup your gear at our store, no guess work or shipping charges, ;D WYSIWYG!

I emailed EVS with what I am looking to purchase for a quote, should I still contact you directly.

The reason I am looking for the absolute best deal( from a highly reputable company of course) is that I am a recent college grad and I am just starting my videographer business. I wish I had enough money to get everything I want. I am on a tight budget and anything that any reputable company can save me on the dvx100a and necessary accessories would be more than great. If you still want me to email you directly I will do so. In fact if you want to have my home phone number I can give that to you as well.

Sorry to hear that you're away Rush - its not an immediate question but i was just curious about the Bogen 503 head (currently $247 right now) - how much would it come to if i ordered it and had it sent to NJ (07675). I know B&H is closer (I get free shipping from them - go NAPP Photoshop User membership) but I like glendale. Maybe its cause I'm Armenian. Thanks - hope you're enjoying your time off answering my silly post.

Hello John, that head should not cost more than $15 for shipping fedex air, more like $10.  I will look up our exact zipcode rate and post it on Monday.  Thanks for asking.  Merci!
